Protidiner Ain (Street Law) is being organized by the Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP) since 2001 for the first time in Bangladesh. The program is designed for raising legal consciousness among the school students, slum dwellers, street children and marginalized communities of Bangladesh. ELCOP runs this program in which students from various law schools of Bangladesh provide awareness about human rights, democratic norms, conflict resolution, rights and duties and other petty legal issues people face in their daily
ELCOP is starting this year’s Protidiner Ain (Street Law) from 1st of August 2019. In this endeavor ELCOP invites application from interested dedicated law students (preferably 2nd year) to participate as “Street Lawyers”.
The selected street lawyers will be trained by eminent mentors from home and abroad. Street Law is a pro-bono program and only interested students are encouraged to apply.
