We are delighted to inform you that in memory of a legendary legal mind from Bangladesh, Professor Shah Alam, ELCOP is organizing a special essay competition 2021.
The topic of the essay is “Constitutional Resilience and Bangladesh”. Students of Law and Political Science from any Bangladeshi University and Bangladeshi citizens studying law, and political science abroad can take part in it.
The essay must be within 4,000 words including footnotes. The references and citations must follow OSCOLA 4th edition guideline.
The deadline for submitting the essay is 17 August 2021. Afterwards a jury board shall shortlist selected participants based on their scores. The shortlisted students shall appear before a special interview board constituted of reputed scholars from home and abroad. The final result shall be announced on 27 August. The award giving ceremony will be held on 31 August 2021, on the occasion of the death anniversary of Professor Shah Alam.
The essays shall be subjected to a plagiarism test. At the time of submission the students must submit a declaration about the originality of the work in the second page of the word file. The first page shall mention the Name, Department, University, Phone number, Email Id, Word Count.
The word file of the essay should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Professor Shah Alam Special Competition”.
There will be three prizes.
1st prize: BDT 15,000
2nd prize: BDT 10,000 and
3rd prize: BDT 5,000
